Natalie Weintraub, LMT

Originally from the east coast, Natalie has been calling Portland her home for many years. In 2007, she graduated form Reed college with a major in psychology. A year later, she rekindled her interest in massage therapy and completed her massage training at East West College.
The bulk of Natalie’s massages are focused on pain relief, and for this she practices both trigger point therapy and therapeutic massage. These techniques allow Natalie to tailor every massage towards what the client needs, creating a unique blend of pain reduction, tension release, and relaxation.
For those in need of a lighter touch, Natalie is also specializes in craniosacral therapy, a light massage that works with the rhythms of the cerebrospinal fluid in order to balance the body internally and loosen tension around the jaw and head. Natalie has also received special training to work with clients both during and after cancer treatments. She loves working with pregnant women as well as children.
The benefits of massage extend to all ages, and Natalie works with younger-than-average clients on a regular basis. Having worked with children for most of her life – as a child care provider and figure skating instructor – she believes that the pediatric population is the most overlooked when it comes to massage. Massage is about more than just fixing problems. As anyone who’s ever had one could testify, the benefits of just a simple, caring touch are huge: relaxation, internal balance, a positive self-image, just to name a few. Some children do need extra care, whether they are recovering from a sports injury or managing a lifelong illness. Just like in the adult population, the benefits of massage therapy for the pediatric population are widespread and profound.
